PREPARACIÓN VISITA A ESLOVENIA

En unos días los alumnos de 2 ESO seleccionados dentro del programa Comenius viajarán a Eslovenia para participar en la segunda reunión de las cuatro programadas. Durante este segundo trimestre hemos estudiado el vocabulario de la cocina y hemos redactando una gran cantidad de recetas. De algunas incluso hemos podido dar cuenta en clase ;-). A Eslovenia llevaremos una selección de nuestras recetas y junto a los alumnos de los demás países se creará un libro de cocina saludable internacional.

La visita tendrá lugar los días 10 al 14 de mayo. En la presentación de abajo podéis ver todos los detalles del viaje.

In a few days, the selected students from second year of the Comenius program will travel to Slovenia to participate in the second of the four scheduled meetings. During this second term we have studied the vocabulary of cooking and we have written a large amount of recipes. Some of them we have even accounted for in class ;-) In Slovenia, we will share a selection of our recipes and together with the students of the other countries, we will create a healthy international cooking book.

The visit will take place on the 10^th to 14^th of May. In the presentation below, you can see all of the details of the trip.

Our food experiments

¿Qué hay en lo que comemos? Estamos aumentando nuestro conocimiento culinario. ¿Qué hay en los huevos? ¿y en la leche? ¿es zumo el zumo envasado? ¿Sabemos leer la informacíón nutricional que aparece en las etiquetas de los alimentos?

Nuestro profe de Ciencias, Fernando, se puso la bata blanca y echó guantes al tubo de ensayo para explicarnos los diferentes componentes de lo que comemos.

A los niños les encantó.

What is there in what we eat? We are increasing our culinary knowledge. What is there in eggs? And in milk? The bottled juice is juice? Do we know how to read nutritional information which is on the food packets?

Our science teacher, Fernando, put on his white coat and threw on gloves for an experiment to explain the different ingredients which we eat.

The children loved it.

Wrapping up Stockholm

Aunque ya hemos comenzado el trabajo para las nuevas tareas, al mismo tiempo hemos finalizado el trabajo de documentación del viaje a Estocolmo. Una manera de compartir la experiencia con todo el instituto es a través de un mural que hemos colgado en hall. Los alumnos de 2 ESO que participan en el proyecto se quedaron a trabajar por la tarde. El resultado ha merecido la pena. Aquí tenéis una imagen de su elaboración. Por supuesto estáis invitados a venir a verlo ;-) .

Although we have already started the work for the new tasks, at the same time we have finished the work of the documentation of our Stockholm trip. One way to share the experience with the whole school is through a mural which we have hung up in the corridor. The second year students who participated in the project stayed to work all afternoon. The result has been worth it. Here, you have an image of their work. Of course you are invited to come and see it ;-).

A la llegada habíamos visto las camisetas y dijimos que a la vuelta la compraríamos para la foto. De regreso nos costó encontrar la tienda pero Ana insistió y al final la encontramos de camino a la puerta de embarque. Nos íbamos a hacer la foto mientras esperábamos por las maletas pero, por lo visto, está prohibido hacer semejante cosa en esa sala... Dangerousssss!

Happy faces, happy adventure!! Glad that everything turned out great!

On arrival we had seen the t-shirts and we said that on return we would buy it for the photo. On return we struggled to find the shop but Ana insisted and in the end we found it on the way to the boarding gate. We went to do the photo whilst we waited for our suitcases but, apparently, it is prohibited to do such a thing in this room... Dangerous!!

... but we also had a look around

WHAT A NICE PICTURE!! aquí estamos delante del Ayuntamiento, lugar donde se entregan los premios Nobel, todos excepto el de la Paz, que se entrega en Oslo. Hacía frío, aunque creo que para entonces ya nos habíamos acostumbrado.

What a nice picture!! Here we are in front of the town hall, the place where they hand over the Nobel Prizes, all except the Nobel Peace Prize, which is handed over in Oslo. It was cold, although I think by then we had already got used to it.

Trabajo sí hubo...

El miércoles 2 ya nos pusieron las pilas al llegar a la escuela en Estocolmo. Aquí vemos como los suecos ya están haciendo su presentación mientras nosotros estamos dándole los últimos retoques a la nuestra.

On Wednesday 2nd, we finally got moving to the school in Stockholm. Here we watched how the Swedish were doing their presentation whilst we were putting the final touches to ours.

Uneventful trip. Viaje tranquilo y sin sobresaltos. Hoy hemos tenido las  presentaciones de nuestro proyecto y todo ha salido bien. Hemos tenido suerte con el tiempo. Nos ha cogido una ola de calor y estamos entre los 0 y los 3 grados, pero dicen que se acaba, así que tocará abrigarse...

Uneventful trip. A quiet trip without surprises. Today we have had the presentation of our project and all has gone well. We have been lucky with the weather. We have been caught in a heat wave and are between 0 and 3 degrees, but they said that it was over, therefore wrapped up warm.
